When shipping your video game system for Xbox 360 repair or any video game system repair, you may not know how to package it. We see packages everyday and we can offer many suggestions to avoid damages with shipping carriers.

Here are some good shipping tips everyone should know.
High-performance interior cushioning is often worth the expense.
Most systems are very sensitive and the slightest movement can allow for additional damage. We recommend bubble wrap surrounding the entire console. Fill in air spaces with packing material like newspaper to ensure the items don’t move when you shake the container. With less but more effective packaging, you can use a smaller box and save on shipping costs related to package dimensions and weight. DO NOT USE AIR BAGS, THE PS3 HAS SHARP EDGES AND WILL POP THEM!
Make sure you chose the right size boxes for your system.
“If it fits, It ships” is USPS motto for shipping items. Our experience is “If it just about fits, it will not ship safely.” Since boxes are handled by many people and bounce around on trucks before we receive them, if the system is against the box walls, it is sure to have some sort of damage. Pack for the toughest environment your package will face. On the other hand, if you’re using a box that is too large for the product you’re sending, you are wasting packaging and spending too much on shipping charges. Try experimenting with a new box size and use the extra funds for packaging. Also be certain to arrange the products in the box so it is in the center and away from all sides. We recommend the box be 2 inches or larger than the system on all sides for a rule of thumb.
Notify Us That Shipment Is On Its Way
If we have your tracking number, we will know that your package is on its way to us. With the tracking information located in your order, a technician is assigned to monitor your shipment and we can notify you in advance if there is any issues with the delivery services. You can log in to your work order and click on the View link to provide us with your tracking information. We will keep track of the package and let you know as soon as it arrives.
Packages are thrown, dropped, and crushed in “normal” handling, even when FRAGILE is noted on the packaging. That’s just a fact of life. When they are sorted, they are routinely thrown. When they move on conveyor belts, they meet drops up to 6 feet between belts. When they are stacked with other parcels, they may be crushed under a heavy pile. At VideoGame911, our goal is to package the units for safe shipment so that our repaired item will survive this “normal” handling without damage on its way back to you.

Shipping your system can be a very important step; we recommend using a major carrier when shipping. The US postal service (USPS), UPS, and FedEx are all competitively priced and offer a variety of time frames for your shipment to be delivered to our video game repair shop based in Denville, New Jersey.

To ensure safe delivery of your video game system we ask that you safely pack it in a proper shipping container or a well fitted and padded box. Our experience has proven that during the shipping process the video game system can take quite a jolt. We recommend that there is at least two inches of padding between the video game console and all sides of the box. Any accessory that is included in the shipping should be outside of the console’s cushion and controllers should be individually wrapped with a cushioned material. Bubble wrap with the ½ inch bubbles or Styrofoam peanuts make excellent packing material. The larger Air Filled bags tend to pop during shipping and are not recommended. Shipping your system in the original Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 box is not recommended; while they may have been shipped from the manufacturer to the stores in these boxes, that was pallet shipping where they were shrink wrapped and not carrier shipping where they are individually handled and can be dropped.

We have seen some pretty bad cases of poorly packed systems. As the shipper, you are responsible for ensuring the safety of your video game consoles. Proper packing and insuring the contents are necessary steps. We look forward to receiving your well packed video game system.

Shipping your system can be a very important step. We recommend using major carriers when shipping, the US postal service (USPS) is going to be the least expensive and probably is the most commonly used form of delivery. DHL, UPS, and FedEX are also options which provide service to our video game repair shop based in New Jersey. To ensure safe delivery of your video game system for repairs we ask that you safely pack them in a proper shipping container or a well fitted and padded box. Our experience has proven that during the shipping process the video game system can take quite a jolt.

During the shipping of your game console in a box too big and without the proper padding can result in further damage to your video game system. We have seen some pretty bad cases of poorly packed systems that have made the journey across the country to be repaired . When we open them they have cracked cases or worse due to mishandling of the system during the trip. So ensure the quickest and most secure way of shipping your system please use proper packing material when shipping your system to Video Game 911.
